Trucking safety bonuses-how are they paid?

My boyfriend recently started working for covenant transport and has aculated a safety bonus. it says that they are aculated quarterly but we're not sure how it's paid. Is it one lump sump? Weekly disbursement? And how long after the quarter is it paid? Any information you have on any trucking company's safety bonus would help, just so we can get an idea. Thanks!
