Who is the hero(ine) in Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte?

Heathcliff is evil basically. Catherine is just crazy at the end. Young Catherine is pretty self-centered except when it comes to Edgar. Linton is manipulated by his father. Isabella runs off to get away from Heathcliff. I honestly can't think of one character - even Lockwood and Nelly - who would be the hero or the heroine. I guess Nelly would be the closest thing since she cared for Hareton in his first few years of life, and Young Catherine her whole life.
